Lisa Lena's leaf TB

I am launching this TB in Helsinki as I visit for the funeral of my friend Lisa Lena. Between 1995 and 2000 we were colleagues and good friends. We taught statistics for linguistics and literature together and travelled around Finland to different universities together.

We had many many good times, smoke saunas, beautiful venison steak in Joensuu, riding river rapids outside Jyvaskyla, cross-country skiiing at her husband's family farm (she was terrible!), road trip from Joensuu to Vaasa, watching the snow fall from her glassed-in balcony in Joensuu after sauna, crayfish she cooked and then froze to eat when I visited, times in Helsinki - shopping in Stockmann, Aarikka, Marimekko. Cafe Ursula, coffee cake in Fazer, watching the boats leave for Stockholm from the roof top bar of the Palace Hotel. I was her bridesmaid when she married wearing a Jukka Rintola designed dress, and was staying with her in Helsinki when Diana, Princess of Wales was killed.

I had hoped to see more of this beautiful country with Lisa Lena, but now I leave this TB to see it for me. Please keep it in Finland - photos or descriptions of the places it visits would be fantastic! I hope to come back with the rest of the Scothogs to visit in a couple of years.
