Beagle Scout AK at home

Snoopy and Woodstock, decked out in their Beagle Scout uniforms, started their journey from Alaska by visiting Wyoming. From March 2012 until December 2015 they were unaccounted for (maybe they got lost because they don't have a compass). After that long, mysterious detour, they reappeared in Buffalo, Wyoming, and made up for lost time by traveling in several nearby states. Then, in a giant leap, they got all the way to Florida! They must be enjoying the Sunshine State, because they've disappeared again.

Snoopy and Woodstock are taking a bit of time to observe the scenery in the Rocky Mountains. Photo taken in Woodland Park, Colorado, where we live and close to our home, have a very good view of Pikes Peak. At 14,110 feet (4300 meters), Pikes Peak was the inspiration to Katharine Lee Bates who, in 1895, wrote "America the Beautiful". In the attached photo, Pikes Peak is the tallest mountain, near the center of the picture. Also, Pikes Peak is the site of the second oldest auto race in the US – the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), second only to the Indianapolis 500. The PPIHC celebrated its 100th anniversary on June 26, 2016. Photo taken from 38° 59.343'N 105° 3.695'W
