Bugs Bunny has gone to Hawaii and while we are here, we are going to visit most of the National Parks in the state. Most caches will be just outside the Park because the rules say that you can't hide a cache in a N.P. except sometimes an Earthcache which is not a box but asks questions about geology. There are a few left over old "virtual" or imaginary caches but the rules stopped allowing new ones about seven years ago.
There will be lots of pictures but most will have to wait until we get home so that I can size them for uploading.
when I first came to America 65 years ago, there were only about 70 National Parks and Monuments but since then Congress and the Presidents have created a lot more and now there are 397. The original ones were all about scenery, but now there are a lot more that commemorate historic events, both old and new.
Carol and I have been to all but the two newest National Park units, are revisiting some this year and invite you along for the ride! When you visit a National Park, you can stamp a special Passport book (or just plain paper) which shows the date you visited. Each parks has a different stamp and collecting them is a lot of fun.
