To travel to China and back home
Our family is currently in the process to adopt a little girl from China. The process can be long, so this racing travel bug is a way to have some fun while impatiently waiting to bring our daughter home. We are sending this travel bug to China and back, wondering who will get to Richmond first, our daughter or the travel bug. We have not yet been matched to a girl, however, when we do get matched, it will another 5-6 months until we ourselves can fly to China to adopt her.
The Chinese symbol on the TB keychain is part of the symbol for "daughter": 女. We also have a keychain with part of the Chinese symbol for "son": 子 which represents the son we have who was also adopted from China over a year ago. When these two symbols are placed next to each other, it turns into the Chinese symbol meaning "good": 女子
If you have found this travel bug, we ask that you help it along to China. If it has already traveled into China, please help it to come home to RIchmond, VA. Thank you for joining us on our journey to China and back.
We would love to see pictures of where our TB is going, and especially would love a picture of our travel bug in China! Please post some if you can!
UPDATE 8/25/12:
We just saw our TB is in Idaho!! Almost there!
In the past year and a half, we have been matched to our daughter, flew to China, and have been home almost nine months already!
Even though the bug has not been to China yet, we still want it to go there and back. Please help us complete the mission! And please make sure if you pick it up to come back and let us know!
We would love a picture of our bug in China to show our kids.

I am not sure why the cacher I handed it to did not add a log. just to let you know what has gone on with the bug.
I gave it to a cacher that was a pilot headed for china. the bug traveled farther than planned. He not only took it to China, it went to Japan and South Korea.
My plan now is to get it back in a cache and get it headed home. hope it makes it soon!!

I retrieved this travel bug from the cache (GC2G34Z) and am passing it on to another cacher who is going to China. So it will finally make the trip.

The last record I can find on this bug it was still back east. I found it in a cache near Idaho Falls, Idaho. I really hope the baby made it back to virginia before the bug. I'm guessing it has not been to China. wondering if it should head home or continue just traveling. anyway it is still alive and kicking
