Current Goal

My goal is to travel from Washington State to the Missouri Veterans Cemetary in Jacksonville. I would like to be removed from my geotag and placed at the gravesite of SGT Brandon E. Maggart. Once I have reached the gravesite, please send the geotag on its way to explore the rest of these great United States until eventually it finds its way home to Tacoma, Washington.

About This Item

SGT Brandon Maggart had a chance to go to the U.S. Army Air Assault School in March, 2009. An unexpected injury weeks before the school began kept him from attending the school and earning these coveted wings.
SGT Maggart was killed in action on 22 August 2010 in Basrah, Iraq. He will forever be remembered as the first Soldier killed in Iraq since U.S. combat units left the country.
I took SGT Maggarts place at the Air Assault School after his injury. Since he will never have another chance to earn these wings, I want to give him mine. Please place these wings at his gravesite in Jacksonville and send the travelbug without the wings to tour the rest of the United States.
