Current Goal

To travel round the uk, taking in as many important historical sites from british history from prehistoric to current. We will then read up a bit about anything particularly of note that happened near to the geocache.

Taking a pic of the travelbug near something [be it a field on which a battle was fought, or a castle or roman ruin, or an old mill/factory to an anderson shelter - you get the idea  ] that is in the vicinity would be really appreciated.

Historyetc is run by a group of home educating parents on a monthly basis to do relevant crafts, design and technology for the period of history studied by their predominantly primary school aged children.  We hope at the end of each meet to see where this bug has been and learn a bit about the area and capture snapshots of some of the history of the British Isles.

[As story of the world is a world history programme, foreign travel would be fine too ]

Historyetc TB

This is, like all our travelbugs, made of fimo, a bakeable modelling clay. if dropped it can shatter, but mostly fairly resilient. If it does break, we would be keen to know so that we can send a replacement out. thankyou. It represents a tree of knowledge.
