Current Goal

Papa Tony is named for our dad, who loved to travel. Though born on the east coast, he finally settled in the west. In celebration, we originally placed this gnome near San Francisco and ask that you help him return to Marathon, NY. He returned to us after traveling for about 2 years!  Recently, we sent him on another adventure starting in Prague, Czech Republic  with hopes that he will again return to us in Marathon, NY.  We would love to hear about his adventures along the way, and we would love to see some photos of his travels if you can post some.  When he gets near Marathon NY USA, please let us know the location and we'll retrieve him.

PapaTony Travel Bug

Papa Tony is a 3-inch high gnome with a blue vest, a red hat, and white beard (just like Papa). He has a dog tag attached to him-- please keep this attached so that he can be tracked. When first placed in California, he was added to the "C Monster" cache in Pleasanton (Thanks, folks).  He was recently dropped in Prague, Czech Republic while we were on a wonderful trip to Europe (again, thanks, folks), and we hope that he will take the trip back to Marathon NY USA.

We found this great little TB today, and will take it with us on our July 4th road trip, as Papa Tony loved traveling, just as we do. You will see him headed back west -- the wrong way -- for a couple days and seeing the sights in Lake Tahoe, but then see that he will make it to Colorado by middle of next week, where we will drop him off in a cache there, as that is where we live. Sorry for your loss; we will take Papa Tony on a nice trip for less than a week, and get him closer to New York. Travel on, Papa Tony !
