Crash site of Boeing B-17G 42-32097 „Slipstream“ 347th BS, 99th BG, 5th BW, 15th AF; shot down on December 18, 1944 by German I./EJG 1 fighters while returning from an air raid on Odertal refinery.
Only three airmen survived German attacks and were taken POW straight away, the other seven crew members were killed on board or perished in the airplane wreckage:

In honor and memory of the crew of the B-24J-15-FO Liberator 42-52025 ,,Arsenic and Lace", which was shot down over Olomouc on December 17, 1944 on the Odertal Refineries combat mission. Five airmen bailed out and survived, the other five perished in the airplane wreckage:
