'Ninu' is an aborginal word for bilby. These little guys are an endangered species in Australia. They are marsupials, and are also known as rabbit-eared bandicoots. Being nocturnal creatures, it took some convincing to get Ninu to go walkabout. So now, he'd love to travel and see as much of the big wide world he can before returning to his burrow !
