About This Item

Carly's Monarch

As this TB starts, it's July in Ohio and the monarch butterflies are fluttering through our fields and monarch caterpillars are munching our milkweeds. Soon they will make the long journey to mountains of central Mexico. This TB would like to make a similar journey, starting in Ohio, slowly working its way south to Mexico and then head back to Ohio. *Since Carly's Monarch got blown off course and is fluttering around Europe, I guess it needs a new goal. Please take Carly's Monarch to Portugal. It would love to visit Seixal. Carly was an AFS student there in 1990-1 Thank you.

To Portugal? I could take the Monarch to the Balerean Islands (Spain) next week 😎 but (even if its closer to Portugal) he´d stay there forever and a day until being picked up again. I decided to show him the woods in the South of Aachen. At least the right direction. 😉

Carly's Monarch did not like to stay in the city and flew away to another forest.

As the last cache-finder did not see the Monarch I was afraid that it flew away. But it was only hidden among the other cache items.
I gave it a hike from the damp forest to the flowers of the city.

After three Month useless quarantine in the TB Hotel at Duesseldorf Airport Carlys Monarch decided to trust to his own wings again and disappeared in SW direction.
