Current Goal

I am a Humming Bird that comes from Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean.
Trinidad is sometimes referred to as the "Land of the Hummingbird" because more than sixteen different species of hummingbird have been recorded on the island. "Land of the Hummingbird" is also believed to have been the Native American name for Trinidad.

I would like to travel to meet other Humming Birds around the world. Please carry me to caches in other areas where Humming Birds live. Also please take (and post) as many pictures of Humming Birds along the way.

About This Item

I am Hover the Humming Bird, humming birds are amongst the smallest birds in the world, we can hover in mid air by flapping our wings rapidly and we are the only type of bird able to fly backwards.
We love to drink nectar and we help to pollinate flowers. With the exception of insects, while in flight we have the highest metabolism of all animals. We live in north and south America with the highest concentration in tropical and subtropical areas.

I love this little guy! We have some hummingbirds in our back yard, and he looks just like them. When I saw him in the cache I wondered if he was the same one I had released this summer, but no ... he is another twin! Thanks for sharing. I will move him on quickly!
