O objetivo desta geocoin é ir ao máximo de eventos possível, sempre na companhia dos meus donos, para ser partilhada com todos os geocachers que lá estejam.

The goal of this geocoin is to go to as many events as possible, always in the company of my owners, to be shared with all geocachers that are over there.

Depois da experiência ganha no desenho e produção da Figueira da Foz Geocoin, não tardou muito até que o Diogo Sérgio (diogosergio) se lançasse no desenho de uma nova geocoin alusiva à Figueira da Foz. O arranque desta nova geocoin foi publicamente anunciado em Novembro de 2009 e foi por isso que esta se tornou na versão de 2009 da Figueira da Foz geocoin.

A Figueira da Foz, também conhecida por Figueira, é uma cidade do distrito de Coimbra, em Portugal.
Localiza-se na foz do rio Mondego, a 40 km a oeste de Coimbra, e abrigada por morros (Serra da Boa Viagem). A cidade tem uma população de 46.600 habitantes e o município tem 62.601 habitantes. É a segunda maior cidade do distrito de Coimbra.

É uma cidade costeira com várias praias, verão e instalações portuárias na costa do Oceano Atlântico. Como cidade de turismo, desempenha um papel importante no centro do país. Uma zona de jogo legal, encontra-se na Figueira um dos maiores casinos da Península Ibérica - o Casino Peninsular.

A moeda em si, baseia-se nas coisas que tornam esta cidade bonita. 

O sol, a natureza, e o mar.

A parte da frente é relativa ao Sol, Natureza e tem a torre de relógio que se situa na no areal da Figueira, a parte de trás é sobre o mar, as ondas, as redes de pesca, e contém no centro o símbolo da figueira.

After the experience gained in the design and production of the Figueira da Foz Geocoin, it was not long before Diogo Sérgio (diogosergio) launched the design of a new geocoin alluding to Figueira da Foz. The start of this new geocoin was publicly announced in November 2009 and that is why this became the 2009 version of Figueira da Foz geocoin.

Figueira da Foz, also known as Figueira for short, is a city of the district of Coimbra, in Portugal.
It is located at the mouth of the Mondego river, 40 km west of Coimbra, and sheltered by hills (Serra da Boa Viagem). The city proper has a population of 46,600 and the municipality has in total 62,601 inhabitants. It is the second largest city in the district of Coimbra.

It is a coastal city with several beaches, summer and seaport facilities in the Atlantic Ocean coast. As a city of tourism it plays an important part in the centre of the country. A zone of legal gambling, one can find in Figueira one of the biggest casinos of the Iberian Peninsula – the Casino Peninsular.

The currency itself, is based on the things that make this city beautiful. 

The sun, the nature, and the sea.

The front part is relative to the Sun, Nature and has the clock tower that is located in the beach of Figueira, the back is on the sea, the waves, the fishing nets, and contains in the center the symbol of the fig tree.
