My mother Anke died of cancer on the 31th of march 2008 at the age of 67. Her symbol was a ladybug (hence the TB). She made jewellery and sold this on markets and fairs for a few euro's a piece. All her proceeds went to a foundation called Tshwaranang (founded by family), which goal it is to raise funds and goods for aids projects in Johannesburg, South Africa.
She never got to visit 'her' project called Sedimosang herself. It's a daycare centre and preschool for aids-orphans and children of child families (families in which the parents died and the children have to take care of themselves). It was founded by Josefine Mpofu, a grandmother who took (and still takes) care of those children and opened her house for them. Now more then 80 children visit Sedimosang every day for education; food; playtime and lots of love (there are more helpers/teachers now).
Goal of the TB is therefore; to travel to Johannesburg, South Africa !!
