He needs to get to zip code 85308 in Glendale, Arizona after first visiting his home state of New Jersey. He must get there before his competitors, Sally (TB3Y71F), Dave (TB3YDH0), and Eileen (TB3QHW8) to win a free dinner and a tiny crown!

It’s a Race!

For a 2010 Christmas present to geocaching team F.O.R.K. my husband and I are sending them on a race. We are releasing 4 separate travel bugs. Each one of the travel bugs is a little figurine that represents one of the members of team FORK. The winner will get dinner of their choice provided by the other 3 and a tiny crown for their travel bug!

The Race

The race will have 2 parts.
• 1st the competitors must voyage to their home states and be placed in at least 1 geocache there. (New Jersey for Leif, New York for Sally, Louisiana for Eileen, and Colorado for Dave)
• 2nd they must travel to zip code 85308 in Glendale, Arizona, near their homes now.

Rules

• While Sally, Leif, Eileen, and Dave are allowed to visit their travelbugs and their competitor’s travelbugs, they are NOT allowed to take them until they have reached their final destination. • If a travel bug is deemed “lost” it may be replaced but that player will have to start again from the beginning. Prize The winner will receive dinner of their choice provided by the other 3, and a tiny well-deserved crown for their travelbug!

Back Story

My parents, Dave and Eileen met their friends Sally and Leif back in 1973 in Virginia. They were good friends in VA but after awhile both couples moved on to other jobs in other states. They raised their families and lived their lives far apart from each other. That changed in 2002 when Sally and Leif retired to Arizona where Dave and Eileen, also retired, have been living for years. Back together again, they are great friends. In 2003, they started the geo-caching team, F.O.R.K (Four Old Retired Kids) and have been having great fun finding caches around the world ever since.

At long last, "Little Leif" is united with his namesake, "Big Leif".  DJBTEX was kind enough to mail him to us after we contacted her (thinking she was in the Phoenix area).  
A big "THANK YOU" to all the considerate cachers who took care of him over the last nine years and many thousands of miles.  It has been a wonderful, interesting  journey. .
He will soon be off again on another adventure, details to be provided later.

Grabbed this from my geobuddy Zippertiff when she came back from Arizona. She took some off my hands when she was traveling out there to move along and I guess she felt she owned me some back. I will be traveling east later this summer and this one can come along back east if he has met his goal in Arizona - if not I will send him back west.
