The coin says: "Yosemite Park is a place of rest, a refuge from the roar and dust and weary, nervous, wasting work of the lowlands, in which one gains the advantages of both solitude and society - John Muir"
This geocoin wishes to travel to similar places: woods, forests, hills and mountains.
The Scottish naturalist John Muir (1838-1914) was responsible for the establishment of California's Yosemite National Park, and was a founding father of the world conservation movement.
What he said 100 years ago, is even more true in the 'civilised' world today:
Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life.
