At the end of a five day business trip to the LA area, I have one day "extra" to make a first experience with the last frontier "Alaska". Ketchikan is the closest airport to mainland US and the southermost city of this fantastic State hence the natural choice for this "first contact".
And all rumors are true. Nature is awesome but it is raining "cat's and dogs". Well, coming from LA I am not really well equipped to go hunting here. As a result my first action is to buy a windstopper and an umbrella. The idea of doing with an umbrella turns out to be silly very quickly. It simply is too windy….
As there is only little time I go for a fairly easy cache first. Large box, low D/T rating and and good hint. Well, that may not sound fair to this cache and it clearly isn’t. Albeit in the middle of town, the cache is hidden well enough to be well protected against muggles and at the same time a good location. A regular sized cache downtown? I'd say this is quite an achievement. Anyway I liked this cache very much. Than you aheakali for placing it here.
Even more, I am very happy and thrilled to find a newly released TB that has this cache as his first starting position. I promise to take it around a little.... ;-)
