My goal for the Cessna Citation X Travelbug is to get around as much as my sister-in-law. As much fun as it would be for me to just leave off here, I guess I should probably explain. My S-I-L is a pilot for a private charter company that flies clients to just about anywhere they want to go. As much as she probably dreams of flying the Citation X, she currently flies "Left Seat" (that's pilot talk for Captain) in both the Citation Ultra and Encore as well as the twin prop King Air. Yes, I have fun picking on her about how rough it must be to spend several days in the Bahamas, the Rockies, and many other fun places (mind you - all expenses paid) just hanging out, waiting until the clients have had their fill, before heading back to home base. All joking aside, I'm sure her occupation has its stressful moments too - but I'm not going to tell her that!
Please move this Travelbug from cache to cache, coast to coast and beyond, and feel free to take and post pictures along the way.
This is the Cessna Citation X with a cruise speed of 525 mph. It is the fastest corporate aircraft flying today and is able to carry up to 12 passengers with a range up to 3,535 miles, depending on the payload. And all this can personally be yours for a measely price tag of about $22 million, give or take. Yes, most of us will have to stick with the family wagon for our weekend adventures.
