Current Goal

The Black Bears - KiwiBlack from Christchurch NZ and AussieBlack from Perth, Western Aust., are identical twins who love travelling and would like to meet up somewhere in Scotland. Time is no great objective so if one arrives earlier than the other he would be happy to explore Scotland and/or northern England for a while.

About This Item

Varuna, who owns AussieBlack, was in NZ for a geocaching and trout fishing holiday. We were looking for new travel bugs and spotted the Black Bears - so got two. Varuna, Sp00k and ciotach all have some Scottish blood so thought it would be fun to send our Bears to meet in that country. Perhaps we can also meet them there!
NOTE ADDED APRIL 2008. The original KiwiBlack, released in New Zealand, went missing in USA in 2004. By then AussieBlack was waiting in Scotland so rather than disappoint him we released KiwiBlack's little brother Red with the duplicate tag. Red reached Scotland and then disappeared for a time; meantime Black turned up in Florida! Rather than have a black bear and a red bear with the same tracking number, we have given the original black bear a new number and Red will continue with the current one. All the travelling since 2004 has been Red's.

Yes, I got the little Fella - he looked a bit cold in his dark hole underneath the tree trunk.
I will warm him up, might invite him to a Fosters at the Local before dropping him off again.
