    Hello, we got this GC in today's mail - sent by The Two Reprobates. Thanks. Now she's already in Finland, and will continue with us to the neighbourhood of Nokia after some weeks.

    In my first burst of activity after I took the coin, I contacted a Finnish girl who had stayed with us a summer as a visiting student, and tried to contact some geocachers in Finland, as the usual motion from cache-to-cache clearly wouldn't work across the Atlantic. Unfortunately, none of these panned out. I also took on some consulting work that took me to Tennessee & New Mexico. Shamefully, I did not pursue the Finnish geocoin trans-Atlantic crossing.

    I've tried to contact several geocachers in Finland & have at last met with success. The geocoin was at last sent on its way to Finland on 18 May 2009. I deeply apologize for the delay.

    I took this Geocoin because:
    I love flags, and the Geocoin has the flags of the Aaland Islands, and the Sami people ("laplanders").

    I deceided to help Geocoins & Travel Bubs move on more than I have previously.

    I have a Finnish brother-in-law, and we had a Fissish exchange student stay with us one summer.

    That said, I can't really get this much closer to Finland than Maine's Atlantic Coast, UNLESS I mail it to my old Finnish student. I don't think that's kosher. Will someone please help me on that?
