To travel to the world's great Conservatoriums of Music. Please take photos of me outside Conservatoriums.
I love to see the world and hear fine music. Show me to any passing French Horn musicians!
Please return me Canberra, Australia, by the 29th of December, 2012.
A French Horn, or as it is usually called, an Orchestral Horn, is a type of brass instrument in the same family as a trumpet or a tuba. The ancestry of the modern instrument dates back to the use of animal horns and conchs as musical instruments. The first true brass Horns had no "valves" like you see on modern instruments (the valves are used to help change pitch). Musicians changed pitch just by using their air and lips!
French Horn is considered the hardest of all musical instruments to play (except possibly the oboe!). Denbe thinks it is the greatest of all instruments to play!
The Horn has a mellow, rich tone when compared to other brass instruments, and has a wide range extending up to five octaves! The Horn is a very versatile instrument and serves as balancing sound, able to blend with any other instrument. When the Horn is playing solo, it has a noble and powerful sound!
