Meerkats are part of the mongoose family and can be found in the Kalahah Desert in Botswana and in South Africa. They are small burrowing animals and are very social creatures living in colonies averaging 20-30 members Compare the Meerkat is a marketing company campaign by the British company Comparethemarket.com featuring a fictious Russian meerkat called Aleksandr Orlav as apparently market sounds very much like meerkat when spoken in a Russian accent!
This little meerkat is very inquisitive and would like to investigate as many caches as possible. He would also like to compare himself with other animals and people so please post photos if you can! A word of warning.........Meercats can bite so for your own safety please be nice to this one!!!
