Current Goal

Carrot the unicorn wants to go visit the Yakama Reservation in USA - (log photos with him together with wild horses)

The unicorn Carrot Charming Foal moved into my place a while ago. We have gotten to know each other pretty well. I just call him Carrot now. We have been talking about this and that. Hanging out with Carrot has been great, even though his ability to read peoples minds can be a bit annoying at times. But he is a nice outgoing unicorn.

The sad part is that I don't have a lot to entertain a young unicorn with at home. Because of that he has been surfing the web a lot while I have been at work. One day when I came home from work he shouted at me to come to the computer. He was jumping of excitement because he had found the web page from the Yakama Reservation in USA. He couldnt think of a better place to be than among thousands of wild horses. I told him it was out of the question, I dont have the money or the time to get him and me there now.



He was rather grumpy about this so for his 1200th birthday (yep old but still young for a unicorn) I decided to buy him a Travel Bug ticket. I have told him that it may take some time before he is there, but he didnt mind. Carrot likes to see new places and meet other travellers.

I would be happy if you could log some photos from his travels. In particular if it is possible when he meets some wild horses. (Just take care so no horse eats him). He can stay there as long as he feels like. I noticed there are quite a few good geocache landing spots in Yakima city. Maybe in Fullbright Park?

If possible I will come after and join him on his vacation.

About This Item

The wild horses at the yakama homeland has been around for ages. Since most people, including the native tribes started using cars, the horses in Yakama started to roam free and multiply. According to the WILD HORSE (K'u-see) PROJECT there are about 12000 wild horses on a land that can sustain 2000. A big problem for both the horses and the land. But the problems aside, there is probably not a place on earth with such a dense population of wild horses, and to see how horses where supposed to live in freedom.

    This trackable was not seen in cache Ingen reklam tack! when Ken68n visited 06/17/2013: Skulle innehålla 5 st TB, men jag tog den sista på vidare äventyr. 2 st checkades ut nyss, men (jag) tror att någon slarvat. Hur som helst är gömman tom nu på TB = Should contain five TB, but I took the last one on further adventures. Two checked out recently, but (I) think someone has been careless. Anyway the cache now is empty on TB.
