Current Goal

To make it to the following cities and then back to Maplesville, AL. Austin, TX Pittsburg, TX Fort Smith, AR Shorewood, MN before the 2009 finisher metal does.  Not in any particular order except for Maplesville, AL being the first and last stop.

About This Item

Finisher metal before it starts out on it's race.

Every year there is a 24HR off-road motorcycle race held in Maplesville, AL. 6 racers use one motorcycle and ride it for 24Hrs. In 2009 and 2010 I assembled a team that finished 3rd overall in this event. However, the teams were slightly different. Recently I was asked which team was the better team. Since the results were the same for both teams (3rd overall), I needed a tie breaker. This TB is attached to my finisher metal from the 2010 24 HR race. There is another TB attached to my 2009 finisher metal. I have placed both metals in geocaches around the Maplesville, AL area. The two finisher metals are in a race to make it to each of the teamates home town and then back to the Maplesville, AL area to determine which team will be declared the winner and the better team. May the best team win. I have also included a photo of our team all sporting our finisher metals. From left to right: Josh Young, Bryan Vaughn, Zach Ingram, Kyle Henderson(me), Jason Doyle, and Matt Crouch.

There aren't many larger caches left in Albuquerque. The one I planned to put all of the TBs in is archived. So, I handed this TB off to Bob8Bear at a meeting tonight. The TB will be placed in a large safe TB hotel in Santa Fe near Bob8Bear's home. From there, hopefully it will find it's way to the listed destinations. Happy travels.
