Original Goal & Description:
I was thinking it might be fun for me to check out the St. Louis area since the whole L&C expedition started there and the Washington, DC, area to pay repsects to my grandpa.
My ancestors lived near Old Baldy when Lewis & Clark came up the Missouri River and found their town. L&C had a hard time trying to convince him that he wanted to go, but they finally were able to send my great, great, great. . . grandpa to President Jefferson. Now Grandpa stays in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D. C. I'm mighty proud of my grandpa.
