This travel bug wants to visit baseball games and related baseball sites.  Take pictures of you with Kennedy's Keypsake as you take it to baseball games (little league to major league), baseball fields and stadiums, or any other baseball related site like the Baseball Hall of Fame or a baseball player statue.  Upload your pictures with your logs and include any exciting stories, team names, scores, etc.

Kennedy's Keypsake

Over the last 30+ years, I have had the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of hundreds of elementary students.  This travel bug is placed in honor of Kennedy, a kindergartner in my last class.  Kennedy likes baseball and enjoys the St. Louis Cardinals.  As a retirement gift she gave me a travel bug dog tag and her family placed a geocache (GC2X82G) in my honor.  While I was trying to choose just the right 'bug' to represent Kennedy, the St. Louis Cardinals did something that even Hollywood couldn't have scripted any better.  They earned the title of 2011 World Series Champions.  Yes, they had the 'rally squirrel' and 'Happy Flight', but in the end it was the team believing in themselves and giving their best every time they took the field.  These are the qualities that successful students, like Kennedy, bring to the classroom (and life) every day.

Sadly, Kennedy's Keypsake was placed in a cache that has been archived. 🙂 I am hoping that someone perhaps took it from the cache but did not log it on GC.com and that it will surface some time. I guess I could launch a duplicate bug using the copy tag and see if it will move more freely than the original.
