Current Goal

The race is on!!! The Tortoise isn't so sure about this one, but he's determined not to quit. Slow and steady wins the race, after all; a strategy not at all understood by his opponent, The Hare. He lost the first race to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The next race ends at DEVIL'S TOWER NATIONAL MONUMENT IN WYOMING!!! Please keep moving him a little closer to the finish line, and whoever has the chance please post a picture once he gets there. Once this race is over, a new finish line will be chosen.

About This Item

Tortoise and the Hare

Both of these are hand-carved figures I picked up in Madagascar several years ago. Each of the boys has chosen his favorite and is cheering for that one to win the race.

Sorry it took so long!! We couldn't find a cache large enough for it that didn't have severe water damage, so we made a cache and placed it in that. :)

Got this cool little guy from St Louis! Really nice craftsmanship here, the Hare looked ever more well made! Planning to drop off next time I'm out Geocaching~ Thanks for our first Travel Bug!

(PS: Not sure if I did the correct type of log...I grabbed it, and now I am going to drop it off elsewhere...So I am assuming that it as a "Retrieve from Darling Arlene" ?)
