Current Goal

This trackable is unusual for its longevity. In the five-year period, 2010-14, the owner released a total of 1721 travel bugs in the United States (96%) and Europe (4%). This travel bug is one of the 5% of the total that circulated for at least 5 years and had been moved at least 25 times.  That is a rate of five drops per year for five years.  As of 23-Jan-20, this particular travel bug had survived for 8.9 years and had been moved by 38 cachers. How far can it get?  Keep it moving!

Please drop it in rural OR Premium Member Only caches.  Do not place it in an urban cache or abandon it at a caching event where there is no security.  Transport the bug in the original plastic bag for as long as the bag lasts; the bag keeps the trackable clean, protects the number and prevents tangling with other items.  Otherwise, take the travel bug anywhere you wish.  No permission is needed to leave the U.S.

Travel bug photos are appreciated and will be re-posted here.

About This Item

bahrain

Patch of the Flag of Bahrain. The national flag of Bahrain consists of a white band on the left, separated from a red area on the right by five triangles that serve as a serrated line. Red is the traditional color for flags of the Arab states of the Persian Gulf. The white is on the hoist side; the five points represent the five pillars of Islam. It is very similar to the flag of Qatar, which has more points and has a darker red.
