This Travel Bug would like to visit amusement parks, carnivals, circuses, festivals and fairs anywhere in the world, and have its photograph taken.
This is a numismatic Travel Bug (we collect coins and currency), we hope to inspire others to appreciate the beauty and history of coins. If you like this replica, you can get one of your own (without the hole) on eBay for $3. When introduced in 1916, this coin design by Hermon McNeil caused some controversy as Lady Liberty’s right breast was exposed. Later versions were more modest. The model’s identity for the drawing of the design was kept secret for some time, as her husband did not approve of her posing for Mr. MacNeil.
This TB wants to have a family-friendly good time, photos with traditional rides like merry-go-rounds, Ferris wheels, and roller coasters would be wonderful. Photos while enjoying vendors’ foods like cotton candy, fried dough, hot dogs / sausages, and caramel apples also appreciated. Three things on its to-do list:
-
Photo enjoying a corn dog in the Midwest.
-
Visit the Musée Mécanique in San Francisco, California and have its photo taken with “Laffing Sal.” http://www.museemechanique.org/ We used to live there.
-
Visit Disney theme parks in the USA and overseas.
This trackable is a replica of the type of coin we put in our 25th cache as a First To Find prize in Newburyport, MA: GC33FAQ Lubri-Tasgon. Thanks in advance for helping this TB along, feel free to add photos of its travels along the way.
