Der Würfel

 Ein Würfel sprach zu sich: Ich bin
mir selbst nicht völlig zum Gewinn!
Denn meines Wesens sechste Seite,
und sei es auch ein Auge bloß,
sieht immerdar, statt in die Weite,
der Erde ewig dunklen Schoß.

Als dies die Erde, drauf er ruhte,
vernommen, ward ihr schlimm zumute.

Du Esel, sprach sie, ich bin dunkel,
weil dein Gesäß mich just bedeckt!
Ich bin so licht wie ein Karfunkel,
sobald du dich hinweggefleckt.

Der Würfel, innerlichst beleidigt,
hat sich nicht weiter drauf verteidigt.

SORRY!! My GF found a geocache and a travel bug but I forgot to log it until we passed by again, so I'm happy to report we have your travel bug and it's back on its way again

We are heading between the Netherlands and Italy so we will visit some geocaches and hopefully find a nice home to move the travel bug along 😊
