Retirement Update

After 3 years and 5 months of caching the Cachemobile Mark 1 will be retiring from Geocaching adventures.  It's final geocaching run will be within the next couple days.

Some Statistics:

  • The Cachemobile trackable has over 9500 kms on it. The Cachemobile itself has over 333, 333km!
  • The Cachemobile has visited 2 countries physically, and 12 in spirit.
  • The Cachemobile has travelled to 6 US states
  • The Cachemobile has attended 8 Mega Events
  • The Cachemobile has two 100+ geocache days
  • The Cachemobile was a key component on the ASP Geobash-GeoWoodstock X roadtrip of 2012 and included cities such as Pittsburgh, Columbus, Akron, Cinncinnati, Louisville and Indianapolis.
  • The Cachemobile has had 9 incidents while geocaching ranging from getting a ticket to the transmission blowing.

  • The Cachemobile has over 360 discoveries!

Discovered this one a little while back, I cant exactly remember where, but I think it may have been parked at the trail head off of Jerseyville road. Unfortunately, no one was around the vehicle at that time. Thanks for sharing :) !
