Deze travelbug staat in het teken van Pink Ribbon: 

 
 

Om een bescheiden bijdrage te leveren in de strijd tegen borstkanker, wil deze TB zo veel mogelijk landen aan doen om aandacht te vragen voor deze ingrijpende - maar vroegtijdig op te sporen - aandoening. 

De Pink Ribbon Coin is bevestigd aan een sleutelhanger met z.g. Bonfin wenslintjes uit Brazilië. Oorspronkelijk komen de Bonfim lintjes uit Salvador de Bahia in Brazilië. Het zou leuk zijn als deze TB uiteindelijk Salvador de Bahia in Brazilië bereikt en onderweg in zoveel mogelijk landen zoveel mogelijk mensen mag attenderen op de risico's op borstkanker en het belang van vroegtijdige opsporing.

Als Brazilië eenmaal is bereikt, dan zouden we het op prijs stellen als de TB weer geretourneerd wordt naar Nederland.

Pink Ribbon is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes. In furtherance of the foregoing charitable, educational and scientific purposes, Pink Ribbon International shall:

•  Create worldwide awareness for breast cancer;
•  Provide information, resources, support and guidance for patients, caregivers, providers, and all persons whose lives have been affected directly or indirectly by breast cancer;
•  Promote and focus research into the causes, prevention, treatment, cure and other medical aspects of breast cancer;
•  Assist, directly or indirectly, any third-party charitable organizations involved in any aspect of breast cancer awareness and research;
•  Conduct any and all lawful activities which may be useful in accomplishing the foregoing purposes.

To support the worldwide battle against breastcancer, this TB wants to cross as many countries to create awareness for this severe - but detectable - illness. 

The Pink Ribbon Coin is attached to a key ring with so called Bonfin wishribbons from Brasil. Originally the Bonfin wishribbons come from Salvador de Bahia in Brasil. It would be nice if this TB finally reaches Salvador de Bahia in Brasil, while it has been creating worldwide awareness for breast cancer on it's way, also emphasizing the importancy of early detection.

Once Brasil is visited, we would appreciate it if you send the TB back to the Netherlands.
