About This Item

A whale with his own 1950's T-Bird.  This Travel Bug is in memory of my wife's dearest friend, Margie McKeand, who grew up in the 1940's and 1950's and passed away on June 20, 2011 from a brain tumor. Since 2006, she and her husband, Don (AppleDon), my wife and I travelled around to CT, NY, NJ, PA, MD and DE geocaching and exploring historical towns.  One of the last trips we were planning and never accomplished was to visit historic Ocean Grove, NJ to see the historical tent city. We thus start this travelbug at Ocean Grove on it's journey to historic towns throughout the United States. This one's for you, Dear Margie!

    In Memory of Margie McKeand, the Trackable is going South for the winter. I will try to stop at US historic towns for you Margie. :)
    Departed LI, NY, 1/4/13 and made a stop in Allentown,PA, Hamburg, PA, Hershey, PA, Maryland, Lexington, VA, Bristol, VA, MorristownTN and now staying in the Sequatchie Valley in TN for a week before heading South again. Apparently Margie did not want to stop just yet. Every time I tried to play Hide and Seek, the site was closed, unable to gain access in the dark or too many people were around. Margie seems to want to be in warmer climate for the winter. Next weekend will head to Florida.
