This geocoin is a token of the love that I have for a very special young man that I wish to share with the Geocaching community. Anthony is my first born son. It seems like only yesterday that we had met for the first time. He was so helpless and beautiful and perfect. He was my Guinea Pig, my protege, my teacher, my student and my greatest joy. Now he is becoming a man and I am deeply saddened that I will be playing a smaller role in his life from now on. I think that I will just hold on to this geocoin for as long as I can.
This is a Bad Andy Geocoin which is modeled after the United States Morgan Dollar (minted in 1878-1904, 1921). Seven hundred fifty two examples of this geocoin were minted in 2006.

About Anthony:
As a child, Anthony loved playing in the dirt with toy bulldozers and dump trucks. He would spend hours excavating in a postage stamp sized cut-out in the side walk in North East Philly.
He did well in school and participated in a variety of sports. In middle and high school he excelled at football playing on both the offensive and defensive lines. His loved being in the thick of battle, excelling both as a Center and a Nose Tackle.
In college, he has returned to his first love, building things and digging in the dirt. He has interned with PennDOT, and is perusing a career in Construction Management.
Special Thoughts and Wishes:
| To You, Son, with a Lot of Love |
Sometimes we need reminders in our lives
of how much people care.
If you ever get that feeling, I want you to remember this...
I love you, Son.
Beyond words that can even begin to tell you how much,
I hold you and your happiness within my heart each and every day.
I am so proud of you, and so thankful to the years that have given me so much to be thankful for.
If I were given a chance to be anything I wanted to become, there's nothing I would rather be... than your parent.
And there is no one I would rather have ... as my son.-Laurel Atherton |

Embarrassing Stories:
All parents like to tell embarrassing stories about their children, but I will resist that urge today. Now that he is an adult, I will let him embarrass himself.
