About This Item

As an Eagle Scout myself, I'm happy to see that the Boy Scouts of America have added a geocaching merit badge. My troop learned orienteering using topos and a good compass, and played simple war games around courses to make it fun.

Those skills are still important, but with technology comes new adventures - or at least a faster way to new adventures. I enjoy geocaching with my daughter and look forward to getting my son involved someday as well.
