Retrieved from TXGCC11 Estero. I also completed the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Geocache Challenge-South Texas. I will try to place this trackable somewhere around the Houston area when I get home.

Mustang Island State Park has property on both sides of the island. Boating, swimming, surfing, camping, and fishing is allowed.
For me, this cache completes the requirements for the Texas State Parks Geocache Challenge - 2011. I had to find 8 of 10 caches in 8 of 10 designated State Parks. I put over 870 miles on my vehicle to get all eight. Today, I drove 733 miles to get the last five along with a few other caches.

The title of this cache says it all. We enjoyed the red sky as it faded away into night. Many folks fishing along the bayside shore.

Lake Corpus Christi State Park sits on the shore of this large lake. Boats, jetskis, and kayaks are allowed. Swimming is at your own risk and many do. Plenty of room for camping and fishing too.
