Current Goal

The mission for this geocoin is to travel to as many military installations as possible - historical or present. It will remind us about how many terrible actions have been made up through history. On the other hand let's not forget that the GPS system would never excist if it had not been for the US Department of Defence, amongst many other techological developments. If possible, take pictures along the coins route and let it visit as many countries and military installations as possible.

    In San Diego with Fudgemo who is leaving town. I will attempt to place TB in a cache near Military base before I head north.

    Will visit caches near the Air Force base in Spokane and then I think we will send this coin down to the Navy base in San Diego. That will probably be in May.

    Hosted a lunch for caching friends and were rewarded with this coin. There is a definite lack of military sites in the area so we intend to pass it to others who may have more opportunities.

    Picked this coin up from a cache on 02022020. Going to take it to a couple of retired navy people who also are geocachers. Hope to stop by war memorial on our way for a picture.

    Well, our local Armory is rather UN-picturequst to say the least! No fancy Emblem for a photo...Same story at the New Law and Order Building that opened a couple months ago. So we stopped off at the Welcome sign near our home --to add a little color!! Happy Caching!!

    Had Lots of Fun at the Good Bye 2019 Event today and picked up your Geo Coin--Saw the NAVY on it and could not help myself...My Dad was in the Navy in WWII, on board the USS YORKTOWN, CV-10. I worked for awhile at the Everett Naval Base, in WA (as DOD), and will try to get this coin headed that way. Lots of bases along the Coast to visit!! Thanks for such a cool Geo-coin.
