Jonathan's geo coin

Jonathan's geo coin started in the traditional cache "Astrotræf på Stevns Natur Center" in Denmark. The cache was released during the Danish Astronomical Society and Astronomisk Forening for Køge Bugts yearly star party.

The coin features "Rundetårn" - Round Tower in Copenhagen. It is a church tower on Trinitatis church in Copenhagen, but the top of the tower also features an astronomical observatory. It came in use in 1642 and is the oldest observatory in Europe still in use. Famous scientist like Ole Rømer, who discovered the speed of light, used it for their observations. Today it is still open to the public for viewing the night sky during the winter half of the year. See www.rundetaarn.dk.

My son enjoyed the coin very much and hopes that it travels far and always remain in circulation. Please don't keep it for more than a few weeks, before sending it on to another cache. Pictures are welcome - in particular of stars and astronomical observatories.
