Felt this was a fitting place to drop your TB, some for obvious reasons (National Forests, etc) but another not so obvious. Located just 20 miles due West in the Uncompahgre National Forest (land administered from this location) is the Dry Mesa dinosaur quarry where one of the largest dinosaur skeletons ever known was first discovered - Supersaurus.
The bones are currently in storage at BYU and have been offered to the city/county of Delta IF they will provide a building to house it when assembled. As the building will have to be 4 stories high and several hundred feet long, no one can come up with the funds to build it, let alone heat and cool it, so the bones sit in storage.
