This travel bug, in honor of one of baseball's premier pitchers during the 1990's and early 2000's, can go anywhere, particularly to Major League Baseball parks and other baseball facilities throughout the world.
Pedro Martinez is a former major league pitcher who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, and Philadelphia Phillies from 1992 to 2009. I found Pedro in Over 51 on Jan. 12, 2003. The intimidating righthander with precision control was selected to eight All-Star teams and won three Cy Young Awards, in 1997 with the Expos and in 1999 and 2000 for the Red Sox. The native of the Dominican Republic earned five league ERA crowns and four strikeout titles, including two seasons with more than 300 strikeouts. His career record of 219-100 with 2.93 ERA makes him a strong candidate for eventual enshrinement into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
You are welcome to take Pedro anywhere, but he would particularly like to visit Major League Baseball parks. If you are not near a Major League Baseball park, Pedro would be interested in visiting any other baseball facility, such minor league stadiums, college and high school fields, and Little League and other youth baseball facilities. Since baseball is an international game, you are welcome to take Pedro with you if you are traveling outside the USA, especially if you are going to Pedro's home nation of the Dominican Republic.
