Current Goal

To head around NZ meeting fellow cachers. I would like to pass through Christchurch and get to the Southern most cache of NZ. Please make sure I am placed in secure geocaches and that will not be muggled.

About This Item

On 22nd February 2011 a magnitude 6.3 earthquake hit Christchurch causing major destruction and loss of life. When the Christchurch earthquake hit, everything came to a stand still. I had to donate some how. I donated $100 to the red cross to help the efforts of the wonderful rescuers. Then there was this Geocoin, All profits from the sale of this coin went to the appeal. They had expected to sell about 50, but2 weeks later there were 220 and more orders coming.

    great spot this cache was stashed managed to find beautiful black boy peaches. going to take some time to make a beautiful peach crumble. its a shmae i cant share with fellow cachers.

    Assume Cassie2010 dropped this off in ROCK but owner noted they didn't want trackables or geocoins in cache so have removed and will move it, off to Christchurch in Feb if not before. Recognised the date from the coin as have family down there. Great cause and good to see the rebuilding progressing.
