Toy Barbara plans to make it all the way to Solihull, England in time for the 60th anniversary of Land Rover, and back to Vashon Island, WA USA. "Dog" is a 1952 80-inch Series I Land Rover. This excellent expedition vehicle can be distinguished from other Vashon Island Explorer's Land Rovers by the bold "D" emblazened upon the bonnet.
Land Rover Dog is commanded by Toy Barbara, a successful writer and explorer (modelled after real-life adventurer Barbara Toy - see (visit link) She's been around the world by Land Rover already, and is headed back to Solihull, England for the 60th anniversary of Land Rover in 2008. Dog is a "Matchbox Originals" replica of the original Moko Lesney Land Rover #12A. There are a number of Travel Bugs from Vashon Island, in the guise of teeny Land Rovers- "Able" and "Baker" are already out there somewhere... Someone STOLE "Land Rover Charlie" and the rest of the contents of the Totem Cache in West Seattle, so Toy Barbara is starting out again in a new vehicle!
