De klompendans is een volkdans uit Nederland.
Het is een volksdans die vaak op polkamuziek uitgevoerd wordt in de vorm van een paardans in een groep. De klompendans als folkloristisch evenement werd aan het begin van de 20e eeuw populair, maar werd al langer uitgevoerd in de lage landen. Door het houten schoeisel is er een maataccent te geven dat de bewegingen en muziek ondersteunt.
De choregraaf Hans van Manen maakte in 1987 een ballet voor dansers met klompen onder de titel Clogs. Het werd in 2006 uitgevoerd door 475 dansers uit alle werelddelen om een gooi te doen naar vermelding in het Guinness Book of World Records.

The Klompendans is a folk clogdance from the Netherlands.
It is a folk dance to polka music performed often in the form of a couple dancing in a group. The clog was a folkloric event in the early 20th century popular, but was executed for longer in the low countries. The wooden shoes, a custom accent to indicate the movement and music support.
The choreographer Hans van Manen made in 1987 for a ballet dancer with the title Clogs. It was implemented in 2006 by 475 dancers from all over the world for a shot at entry in the Guinness Book of World Records. br
