On July 23rd 2010, I was driving home from work as a storm quickly approached the town of Ottawa in Illinois.
I parked my car outside my house and quickly got inside. Before the door even closed, there was a flash of light and a loud POP! I looked behind me and the large tree in my front yard slowly fell to the street... My car and a passing pickup were directly underneath the tree as it came to the ground (luckily, no one was injured). A gust of wind (80mph) had split the tree in half (the POP) and pulled the electrical wires from the house (the flash). The car was totaled and the hood emblem was the only thing I saved from the car.

My wife and I had many road trips in mind to see the United States in that car.
Please move this piece around the United States and post pictures with it at various landmarks (big or small) around the country.
