Current Goal

As the "Official" travel bug of the Hutton Motorcycle Touring Club my Mission is to travel the Interstates and backroads of the U.S. and visit all 50 States.  I am in search of fun and adventure and would love to have pictures and stories of my journey.

(to keep me moving please keep me out of Multi-Caches as these are visited less frequently, remember I am a biker and like to move quickly from place to place; keeping me near the Highways and Interstates will ensure I have a safe and happy ride).

June 24th, 2013 (Mission Update)
Thanks to the help of all my geocaching friends out there I have seen a third of the United States!

So far I have visited a total of 16 different States: Alabama, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

What a great time I have had, but I need your help in completing my mission, please keep me moving and get me to some of the States that I have yet to see.

Motor on!

~Hermie

About This Item

"HERMIE" the Biker Bug

"Hermie" the Biker Bug is the "Official" travel bug of the Hutton Motorcycle Touring Club or "HMTC".  The Hutton Motorcycle Touring Club was established in 1973 and is now in its third generation of Motorcyclists from the Hutton Family.  We are a tight knit group of family and close friends that take an annual motorcycle ride together.  We have visited numerous locations throughout the Mid-West and Eastern United States from Maine to Florida as far West as Texas. We are always in search of great roads to ride and interesting things to do.  Every year is an adventure and brings us closer to one another.  During the 2011 trip to Georgia the club was introduced to Geocaching.  It was an instant hit and during that trip we Geocached nine different States while riding our motorcycles (OH, TN, KY, AL, GA, SC, NC, VA, WV) we had such a great time we decided to create a travel bug to represent us and our interests.  It is our goal to have "Hermie" travel to each of the 48 States and then possibly abroad to Europe or some other exciting destinations.

Grabbed this one with nite-raven. Gonna try and get it placed near I-25 so it can hopefully hitch a ride to New Mexico, which I didn't see listed in the visited states yet.
