The China coins shed some history to the origins of my caching name. can you figure it out?

I'd like to travel to China, via Europe, then back to Iowa.

    Did not find the coin in the designated cache, it was dark outside when we visited the cache so could have missed it. Hope it get on track soon..has been watching loggings for the coin if it was retrived the same day as we where there but no new loggings for neither the cache or coin.
    Can be lost...
