Chasing Blue Sky's UTAG Racer!

This VW Bug is participating in the UTAG Trackable Race 2015.

This is a race for members of Utah Association of Geocachers (UTAG)

Whose trackable can travel the most miles in a year AND to states or countries that spell out UTAG (e.g. Ukraine, Texas, Albania, Georgia)?

Please don't keep this travel bug in your geocaching bag. Move it as far as you can when you drop me into a cache.

Please don't drop me in any remote, difficult, or other lonely caches that get visited infrequently. I want it to move, move move! It has one year to rack up the miles. Please choose frequently visited caches and Travel Bug Hotels so that it can keep on the move. Did I mention, I want it to MOVE?!!

Please help my "Bug" win the race.

Race Organizer Rules

- All trackables must be delivered to HikingSeal or daphm by May 21, 2015 for transport to the starting line at Geowoodstock XIII.

- Distance traveled will be tracked by this website. Be sure your trackable is registered in this race. Click the link to "Add TB to race" on the right and enter the password available through UTAG Facebook group or contact me for the password.

- Please note distance traveled will be calculated by the longest jump method (see FAQ of the race site). Basically that means if one cacher keeps your trackable to visit multiple caches only the longest distance between caches visited by that cacher with your trackable will count.

- In addition to total miles traveled, 2,500 bonus miles will be added for each state or country visited that English name begins with the letter U, T, A, or G. Each letter only gets the bonus once. So it is possible for each trackable to earn four bonuses, a total of 10,000 "miles". The race's starting point, the United States, does not count for the "U". 

- One trackable per person associated with caching account may be entered. I, HikingSeal, may enter only one. lv2wj, a husband and wife caching team, may enter two. CacheMACS, a four person family team, may enter four. This rule is just to keep it fair with families like TheNightFox's where each family member has a separate account and give everyone a fair chance for bragging rights as winner.

- You are not allowed contact with your TB once it has been sent. If it is in a cache where you visit, it must be left there.
