250 year old coin

Replaced lost coin and made new TB on 1/2021

Description from 7/2011

You have now touched a 250 year old coin. The coin was obtained by my Great-Great Grandfather while traveling in South America (working for the John Deere Company) in the late 1800s. My Grandmother had it in a drawer for at least 75 years and I have had it in a drawer for another 25 years. I thought it was time for the coin to get out and do some traveling.
History of the coin:
Emperor Gao Zong ruled under the reign title Qian Long from 1736 to 1795. This well-made coin is typical of the cash coins cast (note the fact this coin was cast and not stamped from a blank) during the early part of his reign. The inscription on the obverse side reads qian long tong bao (乾隆通宝). All qianlong cash coins have the mint name written in Manchu only. The reverse side of this coin has the Manchu character boo, meaning "building" on the left, and the Manchu character yuwan meaning Board of Works on the right.
