VoA:s icechurch wedding march 1, 2011

March 1, 2011 we were married in the icechurch at Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi in north of Sweden. Now we want pictures from different parts of the world so we can decide where to go on our honemoon. The TB is attacht to our hotelroom keycard at Icehotell Jukkasjärvi. Please take good care of it, it´s dear to us!


Den 1 mars 2011 gifte vi oss i iskyrkan i Jukkasjärvi. Nu vill vi gärna se bilder från olika delar av världen så vi kan bestämma var vi ska åka på smekmånad. Denna travelbug sitter ihop med det nyckelkort som gick till vårt hotellrum på ishotellet. Snälla var rädd om det, den är oss kär!

Along Vassara River and the railroad is the area where the Sami settled down when they stopped in Gällivare for longer periods.
The ruling "Swedish" class did not want Sami to maintain there ancient nature religion but wanted to Christianize them, so they built the old church which the locals named Ettöreskyrkan.
This is because all residents had pay a penny each for four years to finance the construction from 1747
