This happy arthropod is being released in honor of my father, who loves and respects spiders. Spiders mostly prey on insects, thus reducing the mosquito and fly populations, along with other problem bugs. Scientists are now researching the use of spider venom in medicine and as non-polluting pesticides. Very, very few spiders hold any danger to humans. Most are quite beneficial and should be allowed to guard your plants and gardens!
