In 1965, at the age of 23, my mother set off on a journey from Ryogoku to Germany, traveling by ship and the Transsiberian Railroad. Ryogoku is the district of Tokyo where the big sumo arena is located. Therefore, Sumo-kun shall travel to Ryogoku (Tokyo) and back again to Munich, either overland or by air, doesn’t matter. Sumo-kun likes being photographed.

Meine Mutter reiste als 23-Jährige 1965 mit Schiff und Transsib von Tokyo (Ryogoku) nach Deutschland. In Ryogoku ist die große Sumo-Arena. Deshalb soll Sumo-kun auf dem Luft- oder Landweg nach Ryogoku (Tokyo) reisen und wieder zurück nach München. Er wird übrigens sehr gerne fotografiert.

Close to the German border and a lot of German cacher do this cache because it's one of the oldest in the Netherlands. We enjoyed Sumo-kun's company and hope it will reach München one day.

Today we went to Hashima, also known as Battleship Island.
In the past it was a busy island because of the coal mine that was here and the many people working and living on the island. Now it's completely deserted and ruined, because the mining stopped. You might recognize it from the movie "Skyfall". We visited this island to find a part of the needed answers for a multi cache, the second part was on a nearby island named Takashima. And we managed to get a second to find on this cache!
